How long have you lived in Hamilton-Wenham? Most of my life. I was born and raised here, left for college and then did some traveling, lived with some friends for a couple years then met my husband and decided to raise a family here.
How come you chose Hamilton-Wenham? Being familiar with my home town and wanting to give my children the same opportunities of growing up in a safe, country-like environment and resources to maximize their potential in a healthy setting.
What is your favorite place in Hamilton-Wenham? , of course. Once a best kept secret but becoming more and more popular, which is really great. Also, it sounds corny, but at the there is a secret room with all of the archives and historical books that can only be read in that section. In researching the pond I came upon it and it really makes you feel small in the whole scheme of things. It's pretty neat.
What is your favorite shop? - their lettuce has such an amazing flavor and they are always so welcoming there.
What is an a fact about you that most don’t know? My hidden artistic talent that has been put aside when I started having children. I used to do freelance art work to earn extra money at college and at work. I miss it.
Do you have an usual or funny story having to do with Hamilton-Wenham? Yes, there is a legend of a giant turtle named Oscar lurking in Pleasant Pond, passed down from generation to generation - some have even seen him.
Where would someone see you around town? My usual running route - probably with Abby in her stroller; local family events, including my kids sports.
Which local services and programs do you support? Pleasant Pond Association, , In Small Steps'/Green Infusion, Hamilton-Wenham Library & Wenham Village Improvement Society, and . Just a few to start. There are so many here.
