Bike Parade, Games, Food and More to Return for Two Town Fourth

The Two Town Fourth will be celebrated at Patton Park in Hamilton from noon to 3 p.m.

It will be classic, hometown celebration of Independence Day on Thursday at Patton Park in Hamilton at the Two Town Fourth.

Many of the favorites from the past few years will return – the kids bicycle parade, classic games, arts vendors and Cow Pie Bingo.

The event runs from noon to 3 p.m. at Patton Park.

New this year will be a barbershop quartet – Essex County 4 – a group that often sings with the Northshoremen. They will take part in the opening ceremony, which will also include Army Specialist Nick Harris, a medic from Hamilton who just returned from Afghanistan.

“There will be a musical salute to the 4th of July,” said Pete McKenzie, the event planner for the Community House of Hamilton-Wenham.

The bicycle parade will form at the First United Methodist Church parking lot at 11:45 a.m. and start at noon. The parade will be escorted by a military color guard as it comes into Patton Park, after making its way down Bay Road. Young bikers are encouraged to decorate their bicycles in patriotic fashion.

At the park, there will be a DJ, the “monkey bridge” by the Boy Scouts, “old-fashion games,” a bouncy house, facepainting and a rides from All About Fun.
