Forecast Upped, Two Feet of Snow Possible

The storm totals for the two towns have been upped in the latest forecast map at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The latest snowfall forecast map issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday night has bumped the anticipated snowfall totals to more than double some initial forecasts on Wednesday.

The forecast map issued at 7 p.m. on Thursday shows Hamilton and Wenham will likely get 18-24 inches of snow before the storm is over on Friday.

As recently as Wednesday evening, some forecasts called for 8-12 inches of snow in the two towns. But by Thursday night there was already about a foot of snow on the ground when the bulk of the heavy snow was just moving in. Now, 18-24 inches of snow are anticipated to fall. See the attached map from the National Weather Service for all the details.
