Former Winthrop Principal Finalist Now a Finalist in Peabody

Less than a year after she was a finalist for the top job at a Hamilton elementary school, the former media specialist is a finalist for a principal job in Peabody.

Amy Pasquarello, who was one of the two finalists for the principal job at Winthrop Elementary School last year, is now a finalist to be a principal in Peabody. She is one of two finalist for the principal job at Carroll School in Peabody, where retired principal Paul Guerrette was hired as Interim Principal in August, according to a report in Peabody Patch. The other finalists were Linda Currety and Rebecca Gordon. Pasquarello is currently a fifth grade teacher and assistant principal at the Burke School in Peabody. Last year, she was one of two finalists to become principal at Winthrop. The job went to Christopher Heath, who came to Hamilton for an elementary school principal position in Woburn. Woburn Principal Hired to Lead Winthrop

Christopher Heath, currently an elementary school principal in Woburn, will be the next principal at Winthrop Elementary School in Hamilton, starting Aug. 20.

Christopher Heath has been named the next principal at Winthrop Elementary School. He will start on Aug. 20, according to a letter announcing Heath's hire on Tuesday from Superintendent Michael Harvey. “I believe that Chris’ experiences as the Principal of the Goodyear Elementary School in Woburn and as an Assistant Principal at the Joshua Eaton Elementary School in Reading have given him the practical experience in leading successful change that will allow him to be successful in leading the Winthrop Elementary School to new heights,” Harvey said in his letter. Principal Finalists are Winthrop Media Specialist, Woburn Principal

Parents, faculty and community members will be able to meet the two finalists to become the next Winthrop Elementary School principal on Tuesday, July 24 from 6-8 p.m.

An integrated media specialist at Winthrop Elementary School and a Woburn elementary school principal are the two finalists to be Winthrop's next principal. Christopher Heath, currently principal at Goodyear Elementary School in Woburn and Amy Pasquarello, currently the Integrated Media Specialist at Winthrop, are the two finalists. Superintendent Michael Harvey said on Monday afternoon in an announcement to parents that the two finalists both “possess the right combination of education, experience and enthusiasm necessary for success in the position.” Heath and Pasquarello were selected as the two finalists last Wednesday, after the search committee interview seven semi-finalists. She was a strong presence at all events I have attended at Winthrop. Winthrop Principal Search Down to Two Finalists

There's two finalists, from an initial pool of 40 candidates, to become the next principal at Winthrop Elementary School in Hamilton.

The search for a new principal at Winthrop Elementary School is down to two finalists, according to Superintendent Michael Harvey. In a ConnectEd phone and voicemail message to parents on Thursday, Harvey said he is not naming the two finalists until Monday so they each have a chance to contact their existing employers to let them know they have been named a finalist. The new principal will take over for Carrie Vaich, who announced last month she will be the new principal at Mast Way Elementary School in Lee, N.H. A search committee will be assembled to find a new principal for Winthrop Elementary School.

A search committee will be assembled and a parent roundtable arranged as the search begins to find a new principal at Winthrop Elementary School. Principal Carrie Vaich announced this week she has taken a new job as the principal at Mast Way Elementary School in Lee, N.H. starting this fall. “This school is located much closer to my home, which will lessen my daily travel time greatly,” Vaich wrote in a letter to Winthrop families on Thursday. Vaich said she has “quite a drive” from her New Hampshire home.
