Fair Seeks Bands, Dance Groups and Magicians to Perform This Fall

The Topsfield Fair has issued a "call-out" for performers at this fall's fair.

The Topsfield Fair is still five months away, but if you want to be a performer at the oldest continuously operated county fair in the county, now is the time to become involved. The fair is currently booking local performers, according to an announcement from the fair on Monday morning, “and time slots are filling up quickly.” “Acts of all categories, genres, and sizes” are being sought. A variety of stages all across the fairgrounds are being booked, “allowing us to accommodate practically any type of act,” according to the fair’s announcement. Buy Local Annual Conference Coming This Month

Annual Northeast Harvest Agricultural Conference will include sessions on: New FDA Regulations, Backyard Poultry, Farmers’ Markets, Farm to Table Cooking, and more.

Northeast Harvest Buy Local will host the Annual Northeast Harvest Agricultural Conference on Tuesday, March 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Coolidge Hall at the Topsfield Fairgrounds. Consumers, farmers, farmers' markets managers, agricultural commissioners, state officials, and legislators from Middlesex and Essex Counties are invited to attend.  Pre-registration cost is $20 and registration day-of is $25. Coffee will be served in the morning and lunch will be provided. The conference will include sessions on: New FDA Regulations, Backyard Poultry, Farmers’ Markets, Farm to Table Cooking, and an opportunity to earn two Spray Credits.
