Small Business Saturday is on Nov. 24 this year, two days after Thanksgiving. It is a day for everyone to support the small businesses that their community thrives on. American Express founded the day in 2010 to help small businesses get exposure during the holiday season, when they might be otherwise overlooked. With retailers buzzing around the holidays, it is important to support local small businesses that rely on their neighbors in order to continue prospering and building the local economy in Hamilton and Wenham. Last year, 100 million people nationwide participated in Small Business Saturday by shopping at locally owned stores to help boost the economy and their communities. Expanded Spa To Fill Former Bookshop Space in Wenham

An existing business in Wenham is expanding in the same location and will add new offerings.

Inside Out Health and Wellness has expanded at the same address in Wenham, moving into space that had been home to a beloved children’s bookshop that closed earlier this year. The old space was about 500 square feet  at 162 Main St. and the new space isabout 900 square feet for Inside Out. The one big change is the addition of a wellness room that will host a variety of events and programs, ranging from lectures to spa party nights. That’s in addition to its longstanding skin care and massage offerings. Owner Victoria Varney has owned the business for the past eight years at the same address in the front portion of the commercial complex on Main Street. Black Cow Eyes November Reopening

The Black Cow restaurant in Hamilton has been closed for renovations since April and is shooting to reopen in November.

Black Cow Tap and Grill plans to reopen in November, according to owner Joe Leone. The restaurant, on Bay Road in downtown Hamilton, has been closed for renovations since April. The work is designed to make the restaurant lighter and brighter. Leone said on Tuesday that he plans to "hopefully" reopen in November. No new seats will be added, but instead rearranged. The entrance was moved from the center to the side of the restaurant and there will be more seating near the window. The last time the restaurant underwent changes was 2001, when it was given permission to expand from 82 seats to 101 seats. The renovations include installing new hardwood floors, bar and bathrooms plus a gas-fired fire pit in the middle. The restaurant is also …

Wenham Tea House to Pour First Drink with New License Saturday

The Wenham Tea House now has its liquor license and will pour its first drinks to the public on Saturday.

Eight months after Wenham Town Meeting unanimously backed a pouring liquor license for Wenham Tea House, the license will be publicly put to use for the first time on Saturday. Christopher Keohane, the Tea House's operation manager, said the license was received on Wednesday. The Tea House hosted a private engagement party on Friday night and will use it for the first time for breakfast and brunch on Saturday. The license allows liquor to be poured from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m.-11 p.m., although the Tea House's hours don't include all those hours. It can also be used for private functions. The license also bars the Tea House from setting up a bar and requires that liquor is served with…
