Five Things to Know Today in Hamilton and Wenham: April 20

An essential get-me-going daily morning column from Hamilton-Wenham Patch.

Today is Friday, April 20. Here are five things you need to know: 1. Earth Day: In honor of Earth Day, which is officially on Sunday, the Community House of Hamilton and Wenham is a getting a “mini landscaping makeover.” The volunteers will be there from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. planting flowers, mulching and cleaning up the grounds. Volunteers and donations from several local businesses will complete the work, including Linda Bangs of LB Designs, Hamilton Gardens, Corliss Wholesale Nursery and Shirts Illustrated. 2. Wenham Town Meeting Warrant: Boy Scouts of Troop 28 and the Cub Scouts of Pack 28 in Wenham will be delivering the Wenham Town Meeting warrant on CDs this weekend. Five Things You Need to Know Today: Nov. 23

An essential get-me-going daily morning column from Hamilton-Wenham Patch.

Today is Wednesday, Nov. 23. Here are five things you need to know: 1. Storm: Wednesday will be a rainy day with temperatures into the 40s. Also, watch out for the wind, with gusts forecasted to get to 30 miles per hour. 2. Early Release: While Wednesday is typically an early release day at the schools, students will get out about 90 minutes earlier than a typical early release day on Wednesday. Elementary schools get out at 11:15 a.m. and the Miles River Middle School and Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School gets out at 12:05 p.m. Lunch will not be served. 3. Library Hours: Hamilton-Wenham Library will close early on Wednesday at 5 p.m. – versus the usual 8 p.m. closing time – for Thanksgiving Eve. The library, as well as all other …
