Miles River parents and guardians, As the reports of the tragic events that are unfolding in Newtown, CT continue to come in, please note a few important pieces of information. As a precaution, we ensured building safety and security and were in direct contact with the Hamilton PD. Students in the middle school were generally unaware of the events that were unfolding, yet at the close of the day, I did address the entire school and informed them they would likely here about a 'tragic event in a CT school', that we care for them greatly, and that are safe as they headed home today.
