The Patton Park Pool Committee is reaching out to the public in its quest to hear what residents want with the pool at the park.
The committee that has been formed to examine the future of the pool at Patton Park is seeking public feedback and has scheduled public forums for later this month. As part of its charge, the committee is seeking information from the public about the possible renovation or replacement of the "aquatic facility" at the park. Hamilton Town Manager Michael Lombardo has said that he is looking at what it will cost to keep the pool open this summer, but the committee is taking a look at the pool's future for years to come. The pool is 51 years old. The committee plans two public forums where it will ask attendees what they feel is important in a new facility. The pool at Patton Park has been used by the community since the early 1960s.
A subcommittee will take a close look at the Patton Park pool, which is in need of significant repairs. The pool will likely need more work to open this summer, and Town Manager Michael Lombardo said that he is looking at what it will cost to keep open this summer.
