Cycling Shop with Local Owners is Top 50 'Multisport' Store in U.S.

A downtown Peabody shop owned by Hamilton and Wenham residents has been named among the top multisport shops in the country for 2012.

A specialty cycling shop run by two men from the two towns has been named among the Top 50 multisport retailers in the United States. Fit Werx 2 in Peabody has made the Slowtwitch 50 -- that's the top 50 multisport retailers in the country ranked each year by the industry website Slowtwitch.com. It is owned by Marty Miserandino, who lives in Hamilton, and Dean Phillips, a Wenham resident. Miserandino said they are both honored at the recognition. “We really enjoy, and take pride in, working with all of our clients, both road and triathlon cyclists, so it’s nice to be recognized for excellence,” he said.
