Five Things to Know on Jan. 9: Rare Meeting of Wenham Personnel Board

Today is Wednesday, Jan. 9. Here are five things you need to know in Hamilton and Wenham: 1. 40s: The temperature is forecasted to get well into the 40s on Wednesday, with cloudy skies and light wind. 2. Brownies: Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts start a six week long program Wednesday at Hamilton-Wenham Library called “World of Girls’ for second and third graders at 2:30 p.m. The cost is cost is $30, including the $12 membership dues to register as a Girl Scout or $18. for girls already registered as Girl Scouts. 3. Half Day: Wednesday, as usual, is early release day in the schools. Elementary schools get out at 12:45 p.m. and the high school and middle school get out at 1:30 p.m. 4. Five Things You Need to Know Today: Sept. 15

An essential get-me-going daily morning column from Hamilton-Wenham Patch.

Today is Thursday, Sept. 15. Here are five things you need to know: 1. Rain: A beautiful start to the week will come to an end on Thursday with some rain showers around during what is otherwise forecasted to be a cloudy day. Temperatures will be in the 70s. 2. Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts: Signups continue on Thursday night for both Cub Scouts and Girls Scouts. The Girl Scouts information session and signups, for girls age 5-17, begins at 6 p.m. at Hamilton-Wenham Library. Hamilton Cub Scout Pack 35 is holding its information session and signups, for boys in grades 1-5, begins at 5:30 p.m. at Winthrop Elementary School. 3. Rachel’s Challenge: A program in memory of Rachel Scott, the first victim in the Columbine High School shooting in 1999…
