Today is Wednesday, April 25. Here are five things you need to know: 1. Hamilton Brush: The Hamilton landfill on Chebacco Road reopens on Wednesday for brush dropoff. It was closed all winter and is now open on the last Wednesday of the month from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. through October. Branches, grass clippings, and stones can be dropped off. Leaves cannot be dropped off and it is for Hamilton residents only. 2. Candidate Forum: The five candidates seeking the three open seats on the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School Committee will all appear at a candidate forum at Wenham Town Hall on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Barbara Lawrence, Shelia MacDonald, Brett McKechnie, Melissa Even Moore and Bill Wilson will all appear. 3. Today is Tuesday, March 6. Here are five things you need to know: 1. Cold: Forecasters are saying that Tuesday will be the coldest day this week. It will again be a sunny day with a high temperature close to freezing. 2. Super Tuesday: It is election day. Tuesday the polls will be open in both towns from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the presidential primary. Voting is at Winthrop Elementary School in Hamilton and Wenham Town Hall in Wenham. 3. Temperatures will be in the 50s with an increased chance of rain as the day goes on. 2. Flu clinic: The first of two free flu clinics this fall sponsored by the Hamilton and Wenham Boards of Health is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at “The Meetinghouse” – the new name for the Old Hamilton Library. Well, Thursday is much more likely to be cloudy with some rain showers and the chance of maybe a stray clap of thunder in the afternoon with temperatures in the low 70s. 2. Gas prices: The least expensive gallon of gas in the two towns on Wednesday was $3.39 at G & M Motors at Asbury and Highland streets. Gas Prices Up During Past Week, Still Below Summer High

Local gas prices held steady during the past week at all four gas stations in Hamilton and Wenham. Look below the photos for all the prices shown in a chart.

Gas prices at two of the four gas stations in Hamilton and Wenham went up in the past week, with the price at the other two stations holding steady. The current prices are still lower than the highest point of the summer, when most stations were selling gas for $3.75 per gallon in late July and early August.
