Local Turkey Trots (Including Gabe's Run) to Celebrate Thanksgiving

Here's a look at some local races going on so you can burn some calories and feel less guilty about eating pie.

Looking for something to do Thanksgiving morning, or just looking for a way to indulge in your favorite pie without feeling as guilty? Here are some local races you can walk or run. Ipswich: Every 10th runner at the Thanksgiving Day 11th annual Run for the Pie leaves with an apple pie from Russell Orchards. Oh, how much fun! The 2.8 mile race kicks off at 8:20 a.m. at Ipswich Town Hall, 25 Green St. North Reading: 3rd Annual North Reading 5k Turkey Trot. All proceeds will benefit the North Reading High School sports program. Awards will be given to top 3 winners in each age group. Medals for all participants 14 years and younger. Andover: Feaster Five. This legendary race typically boasts about 10,000 entrants.
