Generals Run Away With Eastern Mass. Cross-Country Titles
The Hamilton-Wenham cross-country teams both ran away with first place in their Division 5 Eastern Massachusetts cross-country championships on Saturday at Franklin Park in Boston.
The wins just keep coming in for the Cape Ann League Champion Hamilton-Wenham cross-country teams, as both the boys and girls squads claimed the first place trophies at the MIAA Eastern Massachusetts Divisional Cross-Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 13 at Franklin Park in Boston. "Both of our teams ran very, very well," said head coach Steve Sawyer. "The boys ran in a nice pack; and with the girls we wanted to see how many could get in the top 15 and we got six, which is pretty good. They all ran confident and we are all happy. " Leading the way for the girls was CAL Runner of the Year, senior Alison Lanois, who took first place overall with a time of 19:11.
