Thompson Scholar WORCESTER - Worcester Polytechnic Institute has announced that Thomas Grimshaw of South Hamilton, a first-year student majoring in electrical and computer engineering, has been named a Charles O. Thompson Scholar for the 2012-2013 academic year. Named in honor of the first president of WPI, this honor recognizes outstanding performance by first-year students.
