An empty storefront along Bay Road in South Hamilton is looking for a new use - what should go there? The space at 28 Bay Road in downtown Hamilton was most recently home to Country Crossroads Realty, which opened in 2011. After it closed, owner Amy Job next door at Jolie Tea Co. was examining the option of expanding to create a cafe to serve tea and pastries. But that idea wasn't able to become a reality when it was disocvered the septic system for the building was not able to handle a food service business. Job said she is looking at other locations. Before Country Crossroads, the space was home to Taylor Danielle Spa, which moved across the street to the Shoppes at Hamilton Crossing in 2010. It's recently been home to a spa and a real …

First 'Up With People' Cast Member Arrives, All 100 Expected in a Week

The arrival of the 100 member "Up With People" cast to Hamilton is about a week away.

The first member of the “Up With People” cast has arrived in Hamilton a week ahead of the arrival of the full 100 member cast. Emmy Blomkvist  of Sweden has been a member of the cast since January but came to Hamilton two weeks ahead to serve as an intern with the promotions crew that is already here. She’ll rejoin the crew when they leave Hamilton and spend until December with Up With People and travel to Mexico, Philippines and Taiwan, among other locations. The full cast of Up With People with arrive in Hamilton on Sept. 3 and spend a week in the public schools before two shows on Sept. 7 and Sept. 8 at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School. Meet A 71 Year Hamilton Resident Who Puts Out Lobster Traps Each Summer

Meet Warren "Bob" Gray, a Hamilton native who counts putting out a few lobster traps each summer as one of his hobbies.

Name: Warren Robert Gray, Jr. I go by Bob (my middle name). It was confusing to have two Warrens in the house growing up so my parents decided to have me go by my middle name. Street: Bay Road, Hamilton Family: Wife, Shirley; Two boys, Bob, III, age 51, lives in Vermont with no kids and single. Mark, age 49, lives in Singapore, his wife Mari lives in Amherst, Mass. with their two kids (my grandchildren) Taylor, age 15 and Lydia, age 13.
