VIDEO: Rovers Battle Head-to-Head in Physics Battle

The popular Rover - or robot - competition for physics students at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School took place on Tuesday night.

The ping pong balls in the gymnasium at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School on Tuesday night were there for a competition - but not for a table tennis game. Instead, autonomous machines built and designed by physics students in Blair Cochran's classes competed against each other to see which one could pick up the most ping pong balls in a pen on the floor in two minutes. The competition is a springtime tradition for physics students at the Regional. A trophy and medals sat on a table nearby, awaiting the winning team. The team "Too Bot to Handle," working under manager Sami Davis, came in first. Runner-ups were "Bots on Bots on Bots," under manager Chris Roller.
