Today is Tuesday, April 2. Here are five things you need to know in Hamilton and Wenham:  1. Change: The temperature will not get out of the 40s on Tuesday after hitting the 60s on Monday. The up side of the cooler temperatures is that the sky will be mostly sunny. The wind will also blow up to 23 miles per hour out of the west. 2. Autism: Tuesday is Autism Awareness Day and to show support for those with autism you may see people wearing blue. In some places, events are planned in the evening to "light it up blue" in support of those with autism. Plaza Owner Eyes Purchase of Neighboring Property

The owner of the shopping plaza in Hamilton says it is working to purchase another nearby downtown property.

The company that owns the shopping plaza in Hamilton is looking at purchasing a neighboring property, but does not have any specifics plans for its reuse right now. Lisco Development, the Providence, R.I.-based company that owns the Shoppes at Hamilton Crossing, is conducting due diligence on the property at 17 Bay Road, where Mike’s Auto is located, according to Linda Meiggs of Lisco Devemopment. “We have not received enough information to make our decision,” Meiggs said. The company is waiting to hear the results of some tests that were conducted on the property. The due-diligence process is still on-going and there have been no major problems or obstacles, she said. “It’s still in process,” she said. Meiggs said the company has been …

'Wild Horse' Now Run by Men Who Met at 15 Walnut

Two men who met at 15 Walnut Bistro in Hamilton now are in charge of The Wild Horse Cafe in Beverly.

Two men who met while working at 15 Walnut Bistro in Hamilton have partnered to take to helm at a well-known Beverly restaurant. The Wild Horse Café in Beverly is now being run by Matt Blanchard and Sam Hunt. Hunt was formerly the executive chef at 15 Walnut and Blanchard ran the bar. The both started working there in 2009 and helped transform it from Indigo to 15 Walnut. “The whole time we were saying ‘we should get our own place,’” Blanchard said. And last week they did. The two men are now managing partners of what was formerly Brenden Crocker's Wild Horse Tavern on Cabot Street. The new name is Wild Horse Cafe and it will reopen on Jan. 2. Five Things to Know on Dec. 11: ‘Celebrity’ Bartender at the ‘Nut

Temperatures will be in the 40s. 2. ‘On the Edge’: A film detailing life growing up with epilepsy by a Hamilton filmmaker debuts at Pingree School on Tuesday night. 15 Walnut Owners Continue North Shore Expansion

The restaurant group that owns 15 Walnut in Hamilton plans a new restaurant in the North Shore's top restaurant city - Salem.

The North Shore-based chain of restaurants that includes 15 Walnut Bistro is Hamilton is adding its first Salem location, according to the Salem News. Serenitee Restaurant Group plans to open a restaurant named Opus in November in the space that had been home to Greenland Café on Washington Street in the downtown for the past few years. In early August, Salem Patch reported that the new restaurant may add a function space to the new restaurant. In Hamilton, before 15 Walnut, Serenitee operated the restaurant under the names Blue Smoke Bar and Grill and later Indigo.
