Harvard Forest
Historically the 100 acre Matthews Plantation, Harvard Forest is property made up of conifer plantations and upland forest, belonging to Harvard University. This forest is used as an outdoor laboratory. It is being studied by students and scholars to investigate if the Earth can recover from the use and abuse of people. It is the oldest continuously studied ecosystem in the United States.
