Wenham Day on Saturday Tops Weekend Events Calendar
Quick info about some of the local events happening this weekend in Hamilton and Wenham and nearby on the North Shore.
Saturday is Wenham Day, when crafters fill the grass in Wenham village and families can enjoy Wenham Museum for free.
Down the road on Sunday, he “Riley Rocks” fundraising carnival happens at Beverly High School. There's a lot of other events going on in Hamilton, Wenham and the nearby area of the North Shore this weekend.

1. WENHAM DAY ANNUAL FAMILY FESTIVAL AND CRAFT FAIR
Where/When: Wenham Museum and Wenham Town Hall; Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Why Go: This annual late-summer event is in its 41rst straight year, offering arts and crafts for sale and free admission to Wenham Museum all day, among other fun. There will also be a doll clinic for minor repairs and the Fat Belly BBQ Truck will be on hand for lunch.

2. RILEY ROCKS! FAMILY CARNIVAL
Where/When: Beverly High School; Sunday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Why Go: There will be all sorts of kid-friendly fun, including a dunk tank, games, face painting, a bouncy house and arts and crafts, with all the proceeds going toward the Riley Rocks Fund, to pay the medical costs for 6-year-old Riley Fessenden, who has been diagnosed with esthesioneuroblastama, or ENB. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments at Boston Children’s Hospital and will need several surgeries.

Where/When: Italian-American Citizens Club, 7 Blaney Ave., Peabody; Saturday, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Why Go: The Danielle Holmes Yagjian Foundation is holding a charity bike run Saturday in memory of Yagjian, who died of cancer two years ago, and to raise funds to support other cancer victims. The ride starts and ends at the Italian-American Citizens Club on Blaney Avenue. There will be food, music and raffles following the ride at 1:30 p.m.
Pricing: $20 per bike, $5 per passenger, $10 per walk-in
4. EXCHANGE YOUR OLD HOCKEY EQUIPMENT
Where/When: Elm Street Municipal Parking Lot, Danvers; Sunday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Why Go: Danvers Youth Hockey will be holding a hockey equipment exchange. If you have items you no longer use, bring them. If you're looking for equipment, come see what others have to offer. There will also be information available on the Learn-to-Skate and Learn-to-Play Hockey programs.
Pricing: Free
Where/When: Essex County Greenbelt’s Beverly Commons, at end of Greenwood Avenue (from Hart Street) at the intersection of Stoneridge Road, Beverly Farms; registration 7:30 a.m.-8:45 a.m., race at 9 a.m., Saturday
Why Go: This is the fourth in the eight race North Shore Trail Series, showing off some of the great natural areas of Beverly Farms. Online registration for the 7.3 mile race has closed but registration will continue on Saturday morning before the race. There is also a 3.6 mile race that is not part of the trail series. Parking will be available at Glen Urquhart School.
