It's the Fourth of July on Wednesday - officially known as Independence Day - which means some businesses are closed, others have limited hours and others are open with regular hours. The best bet is to call ahead to check - you can use Patch's directory page to find the phone number for any local business - but here’s a wrap-up of some of the businesses and government offices that you are most likely to be wondering whether it is open or not.

Trash: There is no trash collection in Hamilton - it is delayed by one day. And trash collection will be delayed by a day for the rest of the week.

Banks: The Hamilton branches of ,  and are all closed on Wednesday.

MBTA: Commuter trains will run on a Saturday schedule. The last train to leaves North Station at 11:15 p.m. An outbound train on the Rockport line, making all the stops in Beverly except North Beverly, departs at 11:45 p.m.

Liquor: and will both be open regular hours.

Pharmacies: The store will be open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and the pharmacy will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. will be closed.

Restaurants: and will be closed on Wednesday.

Groceries: will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Convenience Stores: and are both open regular hours.
