4th of July Celebration to Include Bike Parade, Games, BBQ and Much More

The Two Town Fourth of July event will run noon to 3 p.m. at Patton Park on Wednesday.

Wednesday’s Two Town Fourth of July festivities will start with a bicycle parade and end with "Cow Chip Bingo.” Between that, there will be everything from a barbecue, games and contests, craft vendors, antique cars and fire trucks - all from noon to 3 p.m. at Patton Park.

The bike parade will start at the and make its way down Bay Road (Route 1A) to . In addition to decorated bikes, the parade can include other decorated items, such as a wagon or a pet. A Marine Corps Color Guard will march into the park as part of the parade.

After the parade makes it into the park., DJ Jill will provide entertainment and the Hamilton-Wenham Rotary Club will be running a barbeque, according to organizer Jeff Bird.

In the park, artisans will be selling crafts and All About Fun will have a few rides for children.

Also wandering around the park will be a clown tying balloon animals plus free face painting from Create-A-Face will be set up.

The opportunities for kids to have fun will be plentiful. In addition to the rides, face painting and balloon artist, several community groups will be running games and contests throughout the afternoon.

For car enthusiasts, antique cars will also be on display in the park. The Hamilton and Wenham Fire Departments will also have a truck on display.

Operation Troop Support will be collecting items for deployed American service people.

The day ends with “Cow Chip Bingo” – using a real cow to play bingo. It starts at 1 p.m. until there is a winner. The proceeds benefit the Hamilton-Wenham Generals football team.
