Youth Football A Team Blanks Amesbury

The Hamilton-Wenham Generals Youth Football program got a win on Sunday from its A Team over Amesbury.

The Hamilton-Wenham Generals Youth Football A Team defeated Amesbury 12-0 in the rain on Sunday.

The Generals took control of the game during their first possession as quarterback Hans Fotta led a successful drive down the field with impressive runs by Hunter Smith, Zack Willwerth, Marcus Zegarowski, and Alex Winch. Zegarowski broke two tackles around the outside to take the ball in for the touchdown.

The Generals controlled the line on both sides throughout the game and prevented the Jets from mounting any significant drives.

The win was sparked by solid defensive play by Jared Munoz, Joe Lattanzi, Matty Manfra, Bryce Bucci, Ben Danforth, and Jack Wosepka as well as great teamwork across the board. Another long drive in the third quarter resulted in a second Generals touchdown by running back Smith.

All five Hamilton-Wenham Geneerals Youth Football teams play at home at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School on Sunday against Lynnfield.
