South Hamilton resident Robert Carroll finished Monday's Boston Marathon with a time of 3 hours, 5 minutes, and 21 seconds.
The time was good for 3,280th place overall. He was the fastest Hamilton runner.
There were 11 Hamilton residents registered to run the race, in addition to seven from Wenham. Search for results by town or name on the Boston Marathon website.
American Meb Keflezighi finished first overall with a time of 2 hours, 8 minutes, and 37 seconds. He was the first American to win the race since 1983.
About 36,000 runners registered for the marathon, which featured a larger-than-usual crowd of about a million spectators after last year's deadly bombings.
