Regional Thespians to Perform 'Fiddler on the Roof' This Fall

The fall production for the drama program at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School will be "Fiddler on the Roof."

“Fiddler on the Roof” will be the first production presented in the newly-renovated Ferrini Dramatics Center at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School this fall.

About 45 students from the school are rehearsing daily.

The musical includes the iconic songs “Tradition,” “Matchmaker,” “If I Were a Rich Man” and “Sunrise, Sunset.” Chris Shailor, the longtime head of the high school drama department, is directing it.

Most of the cast and crew live in Hamilton and Wenham, plus some from Rockport, and includes students from all grades, from freshmen to seniors.

Performances will be the first two weekends of November: Nov. 2, 3, 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets at the door are $10 for students and seniors; $12 for adults.

The school’s auditorium has recently received a new sound system and all new lights, curtains and seats.
