Little Leaguers Win Section Championship, Now One of Four Teams Headed to State Tournament

Hamilton-Wenham Little League All-Stars have won the District and Section championships and are now headed to the state tournament that starts Thursday in Beverly.

The Hamilton-Wenham Little League All-Stars won the Section 4 championship on Sunday night and are headed back to the North Shore this week to play in the State Tournament.

Already, the team had won the District 15 tournament, sending them to the weekend Division 4 tournament in Tewksbury.

On Sunday, they played the Division 4 championship game after going 2-1 in round robin play. Hamilton-Wenham beat North Andover American 11-1 in five innings.

The Generals are now one of the top four teams in the state in the state tournament and will next play on Thursday night, July 26 at 7:30 p.m. versus 

Newton SouthEast at Harry Ball Field in Beverly.


The team then plays at 7 p.m. on Friday night and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday versus Holden - all at Harry Ball Field.
