Generals Soccer Teams Start Playoffs at Home This Weekend

Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School will host two postseason soccer games over the course of 24 hours this weekend.

Both the boys and girls soccer teams at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School will host a first-round postseason game at home this weekend.

The boys team will face Community Academy of Science and Health of Boston on Friday at 2:30 p.m. The Generals (9-4-5) are the No. 7 seed in the Div. 4 North bracket and CASH (8-7-1) is No. 10. The winner will play the winner of Saturday's Lynn Tech versus Rockport game.

Hamilton-Wenham's girls soccer team will play Watertown on Saturday at home at 2:30 p.m. At 11-4-3, the Generals are the No. 4 seed in Div. 3 North and will go up against the No. 13 seeded Raiders (4-11-3).

The early start times are needed both days because of "daylight issues" and the possibility that the games could go into double overtime with penalty kicks to decide the winner, Principal Eric Tracy said in a recent blog post.
