Football Season Opens Sunday with Day Full of Games

This weekend the Hamilton-Wenham Generals Youth Football (HWGYF) program kicks off another season with games scheduled to occur at the Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School field.  This year the program, which consists of five teams with boys from 3rd-8th grade, has more than 100 players who will once again be competing in the Cape Ann Youth Football League.

“We are very pleased with where we are as a program,” said Jeff Fotta, Commissioner of HWGYF.  “We are fortunate to have great support from the community, local businesses and the Town all of which contribute to a great experience for the players.  We are also very fortunate to have a dedicated group of coaches which, as one of the smaller towns in the league, is critical to ensuring the boys learn the game the right way.“

Fotta urges the community to come out in support of the Generals teams  and Cheering Squads on Sunday.  All games take place at HW Regional High School.
