'Zombie Prom' Coming to High School This Weekend

The fall musical at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School is "Zombie Prom," opening with a show on Friday night.

A "high energy, feel-good musical" will take the stage at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School this weekend.

The students of Enrico Fermi High School will sing and dance their way towards the senior prom, while dealing with love and loss, a tyrannical principal, and an unstable power plant, according to an announcement from the school about the fall musical.

The play will jump jump back to the nuclear 1950s in what is described as a high energy, feel-good musical. It will answer such questions as Should zombies have rights? And should they be allowed in school? "Zombie Prom" will show the "craziness that ensues as the students go against the rules out of devotion to a former friend." Producers say that there is no "zombie gore" in the show.

Shows are at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night, plus a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, all at the at the Ferrini Dramatics Center at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
