Youth Football Generals D-Team Loses to Amesbury by a Touchdown

The Generals D-team was caught in a second half defensive battle on Sunday before losing to Amesbury.

The Generals Youth Football D-Team lost a hard fought battle with a tough Amesbury squad 18-12 on Sunday.

Amesbury came out of the gates strong, scoring on its first two possessions and forcing the Generals to punt on it's first two times with the ball. The Generals, however, were lifted by Patrick Nistl, who entered the game in the second quarter  and scored on two long runs.

Amesbury responded with a long run of their own to make it 18-12. The game was then dominated by defense, as the Generals shut down Amesbury's high-powered offense, and Amesbury returned the favor, keeping them off the board for the remainder of the contest.
