Former Regional Assistant Principal One of Two High School Principal Finalists

The two finalists to become the next principal at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School will have a chance to meet the public early next month.

Two finalists have been named as part of the search for the next principal of , including a former assistant principal at the Regional.

One is currently a principal in Rockport and the other is teacher and former principal at Windham High School in New Hampshire. One of the two men will be chosen to take over this summer for Matthew Fox, who has been named principal at in Marblehead, beginning this summer.

The announcement naming the two finalists was made on Thursday afternoon by Assistant Superintendent Peter Gray.

Philip Conrad is currently principal at Rockport Middle/High School and was the associate and assistant principal for the Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School from 2006 through 2010.

Conrad has a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Endicott College and lives in Georgetown.

Richard Manley teaches at Windham High School in New Hampshire and principal there from 2008-2010. Before that, he was principal at North Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend from 2006-2008.

Manley is a doctoral candidate in Educational Administration at Rivier College and has a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Leadership and Learning from Rivier College. He lives in Hollis, N.H.

Both candidates will have a chance to meet the public on Thursday, June 2 at 5 p.m. at the PA room.
