Former Pro Soccer Draft Pick Takes Over at Gordon

A former draft pick by the New England Revolution will take the helm of the Gordon College men's soccer program.

A man who had been drafted by the New England Revolution and was a two-time All-American in college has been picked to become the next head coach of the Gordon College men's soccer program.

Derek Potteiger was named the new head men's soccer coach at the Wenham college earlier this month.

Since 2009, Potteiger was an assistant coach at the Naval Academy under head coach Dave Brandt, "one of the most successful soccer coaches in NCAA history," Gordon said in its announcement of Potteiger's hire.
