UPDATED: Chinese Visitors Will Not Visit Middle School Friday

The middle school was scheduled to host Chinese visitors on Friday.

Miles River Middle School was slated to be a host to visitors from China on Friday, according to the blog on Jan. 25 from Principal John Driscoll.

But on Thursday night, Driscoll said in a Connect-Ed message that the group would not be visiting Hamilton.

"Unfortunately, we received some news that the group of students from China planning to tour our school tomorrow had a last minute change in plans and will not be able to visit - hopefully a different opportunity will arise," Driscoll said.

The plan has been for 25 students from three middle schools in Shanghai, China to tour classes at Miles River, Driscoll wrote.

Driscoll said that Superintendent Dr. Michael Harvey help make the visit a reality.
