Winthrop Principal Search Down to Two Finalists

There's two finalists, from an initial pool of 40 candidates, to become the next principal at Winthrop Elementary School in Hamilton.

The at is down to two finalists, according to Superintendent Michael Harvey.

In a ConnectEd phone and voicemail message to parents on Thursday, Harvey said he is not naming the two finalists until Monday so they each have a chance to contact their existing employers to let them know they have been named a finalist.

The new principal will take over for Carrie Vaich, she will be the new principal at Mast Way Elementary School in Lee, N.H.

Harvey thanked the search committee for its work in winnowing down the field of candidates from 40 applicants to seven semi-finalists, each of those seven were interviewed on Wednesday night.

“I would especially like to thank Principal Brian O’Donoghue and Principal Jenn Clifford for their work in leading the Search Committee,” Harvey said.
