What Would You Ask Elizabeth Warren?

With a live Q&A chat coming up on Friday, Patch wants to know what questions you'd as the U.S. Senate candidate from Massachusetts.

If you could ask U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren a question, what would it be?

Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat running for U.S. Senate to represent Massachusetts, will be joining us live on Friday, July 13, at 1:15 p.m., providing an opportunity for you to ask her where she stands on a particular issue or the upcoming election.

Warren is seeking the seat currently held by Republican Scott Brown.

Wondering about her stance on the national debt? What about healthcare? Education?

Leave your questions for Elizabeth Warren in the comments to have them considered for the live Q&A session.

To join Friday's chat, head on over to our homepage from 1:15 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.

Mark July 13, 2012 at 02:53 PM
You have said that you opposed President Obama's compromise on the Bush tax cuts in 2010. If you had been in the Senate then, would you have refused to extend all the Bush tax cuts, even if it meant taxes going up for middle class families?
Bobby July 13, 2012 at 02:55 PM
Do you support single-payer healthcare?
Patrick Reynolds July 13, 2012 at 02:56 PM

Liz I love your support of #OccupyWallSt. I was there too, I think they had some good points about the 1%. I don't know I was just there for the free drugs

My father is a physician who has effectively been put out of business through burdensome government overregulation. Scott Brown's platform of a limited government and his pledge to repeal the Affordable Care Act sounds very appealing to me. The fact that you are an advocate of a single-payer system through a public option, to me denotes socialism. Everything government does is ineffective and far too costly. As someone whose only accomplishment is creating a new layer of government bureaucracy; can you please explain to me why you believe big government and sky-high taxes on the working class to pay for social welfare programs is the answer to our nation's economic crisis.

What is your position on Russia? How do you view them, as an international player, in the UN, and do you see them as a threat or an ally? What is your position on the nuclear defense system that the US and NATO want to put in Poland?

Chuck Schumer, one of your most vocal backers, has embarked on "fence mending" tour of Wall Street according to a Tuesday Politico story. Do you think Schumer is right to cozy up to banks and hedge funds to bring them back into the Democratic fold? Thanks!
Occupier July 13, 2012 at 04:55 PM
Hell yes!
Bobby July 13, 2012 at 04:57 PM
Would you have voted for the PATRIOT Act in 2001, and would you vote to reauthorize it in the Senate?
Independent Thinker July 13, 2012 at 04:59 PM
Can you honestly tell the people of Massachusetts you will vote in the best interest of the United States and the state of Massachusetts, while siding with the liberal left on every issue? Meanwhile, Senator Brown's voting record is the second most bipartisan in Congress and has even drawn criticism from fellow republicans for crossing party lines
Independent Thinker July 13, 2012 at 05:03 PM
I'll second Frank here... do you only consider conservatives on Wallstreet one-percenters, are your supporters in Hollywood not considered one-percenters? how are they different then those in Finance?
john July 13, 2012 at 05:06 PM
Great question and the answer is no. If one considers themselves independent than it would be a vote for Scott Brown.
Lebron James July 13, 2012 at 05:16 PM
Would you suppot capital gains taxes that were equal to those under the Clinton administration?
john July 13, 2012 at 05:50 PM
What a surprise? She isn't answering the questions. Keeps repeating the same lines about governement spending on governement jobs, tax the rich and the same old talking points. How uneventful.
