Wenham Parking Ban Started at 8 p.m.

An on-street parking ban in Wenham started at 8 p.m. on Monday.

On street parking has been prohibited in Wenham on Monday starting at 8 p.m., according to the Wenham Police Department.

The ban was announced on the police department's Facebook page.

Wenham has a winter-long overnight parking ban from Nov. 15 and March 31 that says that no vehicle can be parked on the street for longer than an hour from midnight to 8 a.m. A violation carries a $15 fine.

On Monday night the ban was extended earlier to begin at 8 p.m. The police said that any vehicle parked on a public way would subject to ticketing or could possibly be towed.
