Wenham Overnight Parking Ban Starts on Thursday

The wintertime overnight ban for on-street parking in Wenham goes into place on Thursday.

Wenham's wintertime overnight parking ban goes into place starting on Thursday.

The parking bans says that no vehicle can be parked on the street from midnight to 8 a.m. for longer than an hour between Nov. 15 and March 31. It carries a $15 fine.

In past years, Wenham police officers have started out by handing out warnings to vehicles parked overnight during the ban.

There is no overnight parking ban in Hamilton. Instead, a parking ban is announced when 4 inches or more of snow is forecasted. The ban will be announced in Hamilton using the town’s Connect-CTY reverse notification system, HWCam public access television, the town website plus anyone can call into the Hamilton-Wenham Emergency Center to check if a parking ban is in place.

The ban will remain in place as long as the storm lasts.
