State Rep. Criticizes Secretive T Pension Info

A bill sponsored by local state representative Brad Hill, a Republican from Ipswich who represents Hamilton and Wenham, orders MBTA pension records to be opened up to the public.

State Rep. Brad Hill, who represents HAmilton and Wenham, said that the MBTA is not complying with a bill he pushed for to open up the agency's pension records.

If a citizen failed to comply with a state law, they would be arrested, he told the Boston Herald.

“What are they trying to hide?" the Herald quoted Hill.

The bill, sponsored by Hill, was signed into law last month by Gov. Deval Patrick to open pension records for the agency that runs public transportation eastern Massachusetts.
