Selectman Patrick Wilson to Seek Re-election

The board's vice chairman announced his intention to seek another term in an email on Monday morning.

Submitted by Patrick Wilson:

Today, Patrick Wilson, Vice Chairman of the Wenham Board of Selectman, announced his plans to seek a second term on the board. The Town of Wenham has certified Wilson’s nomination papers securing him a spot on the ballot when local elections are held on April 10th.

"When I was first elected to the Board of Selectman I pledged to get results for the residents of Wenham, and that is what I have done. We have had a lot of success from closer communication with the School Committee, and finding efficiencies within town government. The result is we have managed to lower the average tax bill since fiscal year 2012, while at the same time improving the quality of essential services," said Selectman Patrick Wilson. "Both Wenham and the Regional School District’s bond ratings have increased, Wenham’s to AAA and the HWRSD to AA+, a strong objective indicator of the quality of our management.  Wenham is headed in the right direction, but there is a lot more work to be done. The residents of Wenham need a Selectman they can trust to make sure their hard earned tax dollars are being used efficiently and effectively. That is what I am committed to, and why I am seeking reelection," added Wilson.

For over a decade Wilson has dedicated himself to the residents of Wenham in different capacities. He has served as Chairman of both the Wenham Conservation Commission and the Community Preservation Committee. He is a Trustee of the Municipal Affordable Housing Trust and served as a member of the Town Advisory Committee. In all these positions, he has kept a strong focus on the best interests of the taxpayer over the long term.

Since moving to Wenham in 1998, Patrick Wilson and his wife, Nina, have been heavily involved in numerous civic and charitable endeavors. They have four children: Gardner, Katherine, Harrison, and Leverett.
