Former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown took the plunge into the icy Atlantic for charity on Sunday.
Brown, who recently moved from Massachuetts to Rye, was among the participants in the annual Penguin Plunge at Hampton Beach.
Brown posted a message on his Twitter account on Sunday morning, saying "Looking forward to doing the Penguin Plunge today at Hampton Beach, NH for Special Olympics. Water should be a tropical 47-50 degrees. Nice"
Later in the morning, he posted a photo of himself wearing an American flag themed sweatshirt, flanked by two people dressed as zombies. "With my new friends at Zombie Penguin Plunge for Special Olympics," he wrote in the Tweet accompanying the photo.
Brown's move to New Hampshire, along with many political appearances, have fueled rumors that he might run for Senate here. One poll released last week had Brown in a tie with U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, while another had him trailing by 10 percentage points.
