Pre-K Open House Friday, Screening is Feb. 8

Now is the time to start making plans to enroll in pre-K in the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District for the coming school year.

An open house for parents interested in enrolling their children in Pre-Kindergarten is taking place on Friday, Jan. 25 from 9-10 a.m. at Winthrop Elementary School.

Parents are invited to meet the teachers and visit the classrooms. There is no charge and no appointment is necessary.

The annual Pre-Kindergarten screening is being held on Friday, Feb. 8. Any parents that are interested in having their 3 or 4-year-old child considered for enrollment in September 2013 should call the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District's Student Services office at 978-468-5303 to schedule a screening appointment. Parents can also call the same number to request a brochure.

The Pre-Kindergarten program at Winthrop Elementary School is a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, speech/language and pre-academic development of children 3 and 4-years-old, according to the School District.
