New Traffic Pattern to Be Used Around Wenham Town Hall Polling Location

A new traffic flow in and out of Wenham Town Hall will be used during voting on Tuesday.

A new traffic pattern will be unveiled around Wenham Town Hall for Election Day on Tuesday.

Elections were moved from Buker Elementary School to Town Hall in Wenham last year and Tuesday will be the first election with expected high turnout to be held at the Town Hall.

In a Connect-CTY message sent out on Monday afternoon, Town Administrator Mark Andrews said that Wenham Police would be directing traffic from Friend Court into the Town Hall parking lot. From the parking lot, all traffic will then exit onto Main Street on the driveway next to Wenham Museum.

The “Do Not Exit” sign that typically greets driver headed out to Route 1A on the driveway from the Town Hall parking lot will not be in effect on Tuesday.

“The goal is to prevent traffic from backing up onto Route 1A,” Andrews said, adding that Wenham police officers will be at the entrance and exits during peak voting times.
