Hamilton Water Flushing Next Month

Residents are encouraged to refrain from using water during certain hours.

The Hamilton Water Department next month will start hydrant flushing work.

The work will be held Monday through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on the following dates:

  • May 5 to 8
  • May 12 to 15
  • May 19 to 22
"To minimize dirty water getting into your system, refrain from utilizing water during these hours (drinking, showers, laundry, flushing of toilets, etc.)," the water department said in a statement. "Prior to water use, residents should run their cold water or turn on outside spigots until the lines run clear as discoloration may occur."
