The final unsettled contract for Wenham town workers has now been signed.
Wenham Town Administrator Mark Andrews announced on Tuesday that the firefighters union has reached a contract agreement with the firefighters union.
The agreement calls for a 1.5 percent cost of living raise starting on Jan. 1.
All Wenham unionized workers are working under a current contract through at least June 30, 2013.
Call firefighters are not employees and are paid only for the time they spend working for the department.
Earlier this year, the Wenham Police union settled its contract with similar terms, with 1.5 percent increase beginning on Jan. 1, 2013.
A reception was held for the call firefighters in the Wenham Board of Selectmen’s Meeting Room at Wenham Town Hall on Tuesday night.
“The town of Wenham has worked hard to bring this collective bargaining agreement with our call firefighters to closure,” said Chairwoman of the Wenham Board of Selectmen Molly Martins said as part of the announcement that the contract was settled. “I want to thank all of our call firefighters for their productiveness and diligence on settling this outstanding agreement."
