Deadline to Provide Feedback on Andrews Performance is Thursday

The Wenham Board of Selectmen are soliciting public opinion about the performance of Town Administrator Mark Andrews.

Thursday is the deadline to provide the Wenham Board of Selectmen with feedback about the performance of Town Administrator Mark Andrews.

The board plans to review Andrews’ performance when it meets next on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Andrews began in April 2012 as interim town administrator, taking over after Jeff Chelgren left for the town administrator job in Marblehead after 10 years in Wenham. Earlier this year, the “interim” title was dropped from Andrews title.

Ken Whittaker, chairman of the Wenham Board of Selectmen, said at its last meeting that the board will discuss the review at the next meeting and he had already received some written comments regarding Andrews performance.

“I imagine that review process will take a pretty good chunk of time at our next meeting,” he said.

He will share the overall content but not identify the source of the comments if the person requests confidentiality, he said.

“If you want to send those comments to me, they will be kept completely confidential” unless the person providing the comment says they can be identified, Whittaker said.

If the comments identifies the person or small group of people, he will not include the portion of the comment that would make clear who provided the feedback.

Comments should be sent via e-mail to Whittaker at kwhittaker@wenhamma.gov no later than Thursday, Aug. 29.
