Andrews arrived in Wenham in March 2012 to take the job after Jeff Chelgren left the position after a decade to become the town administrator in Marblehead. He served as town administrator for three years before he was hired in Wenham.

At first he was hired as the interim town administrator and in May “interim” was dropped from his title as he was given a new contract. He makes $100,000 a year.
