$150K Project to Install New Culverts, Improve Flow for Hamilton Stream

A new culvert will be installed under Howard Street.

A project to replace culvert under Howard and Linden street in Hamilton and allow for better flow is underway.

Through the month of January, the culvert will be installed, according to Interim Department of Public Works Director Dave Hanlon, with the remaining work planned to be completed in the spring.

The stream will also be cleaned by Northeast Massachusetts Mosquito Control to improve stream flow.

The pricetag for the work is $150,000, including engineering costs, a hydraulic assessment and construction work. The project is not expected to affect traffic flow through the area, with a few exceptions during the project.
