The Moment Moonshine Broke Free from Ice and Mud

A video shows the moment that "Moonshine" broke free from ice and mud in Hamilton on Saturday.

A two-hour long rescue operation in Hamilton on Saturday ended with a successful rescue of "Moonshine," a 1,800 pound mare.

See the attached video showing the moment the horse was freed from the ice and mud, which was up to her neck.

Adam Parrott posted to the Patch Facebook page that he saw Moonshine the day after the rescue and she was "in great shape and very thankful."
