Hamilton Man Injured in 3-Car Connecticut Interstate Crash

A Lake Drive resident was hurt in the second of two crashes along a Connecticut interstate on Tuesday.

A Hamilton man was injured in a car crash Tuesday that happened when cars were slowing to approach an earlier accident on a Connecticut interstate, reports the Norwich Bulletin.

A total of three vehicles were involved in the crash and a passenger in one of the vehicles was Scott O’Meara, 45, of Lake Drive in Hamilton.

He was taken by ambulance to the hospital to be treated for unspecified injuries.

The Bulletin reported that the crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. on the northbound side of I-395 as cars were slowing as they neared an earlier accident that seriously injured a Connecticut man. O’Meara was a passenger in one of the cars that was hit from behind by a third car “at a high rate of speed,” as they all headed toward the first crash scene, the Bulletin said.
