In the video above, various individuals who were at the Hess' arraignment discuss the case as well as how their respective families are handling the events surrounding the incident.
First to speak is Gordon Wiley, a Danvers man who was close friends with one of the victims, Elise Bouchard, 52, of Danvers. Wiley said Bouchard was "like a sister" to his wife, Pam, whom Bouchard asked to ride in Saturday's cycling event.
Pam Wiley didn't, though, because she was "not ready," according to Gordon Wiley. Wiley said his wife is "devastated" by the events, which Wiley said many of their friends and relatives initially thought claimed Pam Wiley's life.
Cassandra Hess and Magnus Hess, the sister and brother of Darriean Hess, also speak in the video above.
